I enjoyed all kinds of physical activities since I was a child. After many years as a personal trainer in the fitness- and aerial area, I accidentally encountered yoga. Since then I have been working intensely with a variety styles of it.
My first passion in life was working in the gym, my 2nd great passion was and is yoga and my third passion is free-floating aerial Yoga. All my knowledge, my enthusiasm and experience I bring into the free-floating practice.
Free Floating Aerial Yoga is a unique method that is based on a special concept, with selected asanas, a thought-out class concept and with special training sequences.
I am a fitness-and B-and A-licensed Step- and Aerobics instructor, also licensed Hot Iron instructor and personal trainer. But since 2003 I teach and practice only yoga.
I took part of Dr. Patrick Broome’s training program for one year, after in 2005 I did the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training with Sharon Gannon and David Life at the Omega Institute in New York.
Since then I have been teaching in several different centers in Munich (including the Jivamukti Center & Leo's Sports Club), privates, as well as at my own Yoga Retreats in Ibiza.
In addition I participated in April 2007at a pilot project to IHK-certified yoga teachers and in March 2010 I successfully finished my training with as a European Ayurvedic therapist.
In 2011 I graduated from New York's Teacher Training Antigravity Yoga. Since December 2012, I am a certified Antigravity teacher.
I am developing Free Floating Aerial Yoga, in which I bring all my knowledge my enthusiasm and my experience.
In January of 2014 the first Free Floating Aerial Yoga Teacher Training was held in Airyoga Munich.

Birgit gently passes along her knowledge and experience from her own yoga and meditation practices, she enjoys to further deepen her teaching – she stays connected with her inspiration and aspects such as how the techniques and wisdom of yoga can be integrated into everyday life and how these techniques can bring more awareness, joy and light into your life. Letting go, feeling pure joy and being connected to our essence and all that is - Yoga as a dedication to the present moment and an inward journey, going into our hearts.'I especially like the unique design, the beautiful colors and the high quality of the Wellicious collection. Munich, GermanyHatha YogaI am a trained and certified yoga teacher (WOYO® Hatha yoga teacher training, pre- and postnatal Vision Yoga) qualified social educator and a mother.
I teach Hatha yoga, which combines traditional yoga techniques with modern exercise principles. I use tools such as belts, balls, blocks and shoulder plates to prepare simple exercises for classical yoga postures.
The origin of yoga and the belief in the power of nature characterize my teaching. Particularly during my pregnancy, I got a lot of strength and confidence through yoga. My fear of a childbirth was enormous, but then my daughter came into this world through natural birth and was healthy. It was truly an amazing experience.
I come from a very sports-loving family and had my first encounter with yoga already when I was eight years old. I got a children’s yoga book and tried to the postures of crocodile, dog and lion... During my studies in 2002 I began to practice yoga regularly. I lived for some time in New York and London, where I met and visited some workshops with internationally known yoga teachers from different yoga styles such as “Bikram Yoga”, “Yoga Works”, “TriYoga”, “Jivamukti” and now “Laughing Yoga”. In 2011 I fulfilled my dream and completed a yoga teacher training at the WOYO® Club in Munich. Yoga has become an integral part of my life.
It is important for me to be respectful towards my body, mind and soul and also to pay attention to my diet and try or to learn something new each and every new day.
